Alex and Mark's wedding at the Stables in Whitby was an elegant affair, for a suitably classy couple.
This was my first experience of shooting at the Stables and I was absolutely blown away by the venue. The location is wonderful, set in acres of land on the outskirts of Whitby, the ceremony room is beautifully rustic and the "around the world" buffet is amazing!
In typical British fashion, the heavens opened during mid afternoon, however we still managed to create lots of outdoor photographs taking in the fabulous scenery.
Later in the day, we made the most of our location by taking the short drive into Whitby to capture additional portraits while the guests enjoyed a relaxing drink or two. I loved Alex and Mark's care-free attitude, especially as I was driving the old Land Rover that we use for our photography tours! What a sight we must of been, off-roading with a Bride and Groom!
With the party in full swing, local legends of the wedding scene The Last Anthem arrived on stage and ensured that the evening reception went off with a bang.
It was brilliant to shoot for such a great couple, Alex and Mark have been a joy to work with from day one and I can see nothing but a wonderful future ahead.
Congratulations Mr and Mrs Spooner! xx
