Michael and Kate married at Middleton Lodge during the early part of Spring 2018 on a relaxed day celebrating with close family and friends.
It was wonderful to be asked to shoot for Michael and Kate, whom I'd met previously at Michael's brother's wedding, which i'd photographed on the sunny shores of Cyprus. It was great to see lots of familiar faces in the congregation and I knew that there would be a fabulous atmosphere throughout this day.
I was asked to capture plenty of natural images along with a selection of family portraits in a relaxed style that suited Michael and Kate as a laid back couple. With lots of children in attendance, there were plenty of cute moments for me to look out for!
We used the stunning grounds at Middleton Lodge to shoot portraits of Michael and Kate, just after they had officially become Mr and Mrs Robinson and although there was a slight chill in the air, the weather stayed (mostly) dry and gave us an opportunity to shoot outdoors.
It's always nice to shoot at Middleton Lodge, its a beautiful venue and Kate's styling really added to the tasteful decor. Later in the day, we used off camera flash to shoot portraits of our Bride and Groom, paying particular attention to Kate's stunning, long flowing veil. The staircase at Middleton Lodge provided the perfect backdrop for this shot.
Even before this day had begun, I knew that it was going to be a wonderful occasion to be involved in. Michael and Kate are a fantastic couple, with a great family around them. I'm so pleased that their wedding day proved to be everything they could of wished for and more.
Congratulations guys! xx
