Arctic Borderlands - Karesuando

Karesuando sits where Sweden meets Finland, far above the Arctic Circle. I’ve returned here several times over the years for the winter light, the husky trails and the sense of remoteness that defines life this far north. The aurora was what first drew me here, though it has remained elusive — only ever appearing in brief glimpses. Perhaps that is part of the reason to keep going back.
