Images from La Serenissima. This is an ongoing collection built over multiple return trips to Venice and the surrounding lagoon. It’s a place I keep going back to because it always gives you something different. For photographers, it’s hard to beat. The light off the water, the narrow streets, the detail in the buildings, and the way scenes come together naturally all make it easy to find images. You don’t have to force it, you just have to walk, look and wait. Beyond the main islands, Burano adds another layer, with bright colour and bold contrast that feels completely different to the rest of the city. It’s a place that keeps delivering, no matter how many times you return.
