Scott and Elizabeth married over the festive holidays at Lumley Castle, County Durham, a 600 year old historic castle overlooking the River Wear. Family and friends gathered from far and wide to witness Scott and Liz become Mr and Mrs Bonner, during a relaxed and emotional ceremony.
I've known Scott since the mid 90's when we both met at senior school and have always gotten along really well with him (to be fair, EVERYONE finds it very easy to get along with Scott). He is also a passionate amateur photographer so I was thrilled when asked if I was available to cover their upcoming wedding.
On meeting the delightful Liz, I knew instantly that Scott had found someone who was absolutely perfect for him. Together they make a harmonious team, with plenty of playful ribbing thrown in for good measure! You can certainly see that they make each other laugh, surely one of the most vital ingredients for a successful and happy marriage. So true to form, the day was filled with plenty of love and laughter and is a day that will live long in the memory for all the right reasons.
We used the beautiful castle and surroundings to create posed and natural photographs throughout a wonderful day of celebrations for a very lovely couple indeed.
For me, Scott and Elizabeths wedding was the ultimate end to another epic year. Over 50 weddings photographed in 2016, each one fabulous in its own unique way. I couldn't of wished to of signed off for 2016 in any other way, shooting at a top class venue for top class people.
So here's to you Mr and Mrs Bonner, we wish you every success and happiness for a brilliantly bright future together xx
